About My Book

And the Birds Keep Singing These poems, collected over the years, are a reflection of my life, joys, sorrows, remembrances. Some are rhyme. Others are simply momentary thoughts put to paper. My hope for them is that they will resonate with you. We all have thoughts, feelings, desires, dislikes, not much different from one another. We all have weathered bad experiences and there may ne more to come. That is the nature of life. But the golden moments, too, need to be savored and written down. May these little poems cause you to know that you are not alone.

– Sheila Weinstein–
Sheila's writing skills are evident from reading her articles and her book Moving to the Center of The Bed. But her collection of poems displays the intensity of feelings and depths of soul with such clarity and articulation that each has its own stand-alone and powerful punch. As a gifted musician, she has blended the rhythm, the tone, the meter of her words, so they read and sound like music with its many cadences and moods.

Amanda Dandy – author of Family Stories

These poems are tiny stitches of memories of a life well-lived. From springtime's promising blossoms to life's final dance, Sheila's collection provides exquisite glimpses into times gone forever, preserved in tenderness. Some are unique. Some are universal, as the perplexity of singing birds when a life has come to an end. We have all known such moments, but they can only be recounted on heart at a time. This collection is a treasure from Sheila's heart to ours.

Cheryle Champagne – author of Legacy of Love

A poetry collection. If you do like poetry or you don’t, you will love Sheila Weinstein’s take on life, love and loss. Her poetry is sometimes mesmerizing, sometimes heartbreaking, but always worth reading more than once.
